Mike Miranda is a recent addition to the Penn State Football family, entering as an early enrollee in January as a three-star prospect. However, it didn’t take him long to perform more along the lines of a five-star recruit who could make an immediate impact as a true freshman.
Miranda immediately started garnering praise from coaches and teammates, and played along with the first time in April’s Blue-White Game. In the recent past, Miranda likely would have been called upon to play immediately. After several successful recruiting hauls since James Franklin took the helm, Penn State now will have the luxury to redshirt a player of Miranda’s abilities thanks to much improved depth and talent in the trenches. Whether or not Miranda ultimately plays in 2017, he seems destined to become an extremely valuable member of the Penn State offense for years to come.
