Not only does Will Fries have one of the best names in college football, he has also proved in a short time to be a pretty darn good football player as well. While the plan was for Fries to take a redshirt season in 2016, the coaching staff came ever-so-close to burning it once he proved himself with head-turning performances on the scout team. Not only should Fries see plenty of action in 2017, he just may push for a starting spot this fall.
Fries chose Penn State among a long list of suitors, including Clemson, Michigan, Miami and Wisconsin. It’s easy to see why this four-star prospect was such a high commodity, and we’re looking forward to see him- and the signs along the student section inspired by his name- throughout the next several seasons.
