Saeed Blacknall is the quintessential “potential vs reality” type in the wide receiver group. He’s had moments where he’s shown to be one of, if not the best receiver on the field. While on the whole, his career has been fairly moderate compared to his peers.
There are plenty of highlights to go around for the Senior. In 2014, he helped Penn State come within three points of Ohio State with a monster touchdown grab. In 2015, he had a big game against San Diego State. In 2016, he was the main reason why Penn State was able to beat Wisconsin in the Big Ten Championship Game.
In 2017, Blacknall will look to be more consistent of a wide receiver, making his highlight reel plays without disappearing for other games. With Chris Godwin gone, the opportunity is there for him.
