Irvin Charles, the second half of the “twin towers,” spent most of his time backing up now departed Chris Godwin. He saw action in every game last season, and played both on offense and special teams (where he made four tackles). Charles was the first player since Justin King in 2005 to have their first reception go for a touchdown.
Stop me if you’ve heard this before, but with Godwin gone, Charles has the opportunity to see extended playing time in the offense. He had a case of the drops at times last season, and if he’s able to work on the hands, he should have a bright future ahead of him.
