For the first time since 2008, Penn State football has sold out its season tickets. The Nittany Lions enter the season with a massive amount of hype and excitement following a Big Ten Championship in 2016.
That same Nittany Lions team that has fans so excited is going to star the season ranked sixth in the USA Today Coaches Poll.
Apparently, young kids are super excited about playing hockey for Guy Gadowsky and Penn State. So much so that 15-year-old Ryan Kirwan committed to do so!
If you haven’t heard, and you really should have heard, Penn State’s Mark Hall is REALLY good at this wrestling thing. Hall, an NCAA national champion went to Finland this week and claimed his second-consecutive junior world freestyle championship at 74 kilograms.
Unfortunately, I can’t bring you only good news. Penn State women’s basketball star guard Teniya Page fractured her right ankle while scrimmaging at the USA Basketball Under-23 camp on Thursday.
To round out with some positive news, former PSU men’s hoops star Calvin Booth is rising up the executive world in the NBA and was recently named the Assistant General Manager of the Denver Nuggets.
