For the third time in four games, Penn State will play a game on ABC, this time getting primetime billing. The Nittany Lions’ week four matchup against the Iowa Hawkeyes is now scheduled for 7:30 in the aforementioned network, also making it the second straight primetime game of the season.
With the game against Michigan widely believed to also be a primetime kickoff, the Nittany Lions would have three primetime games, pending any other midseason announcements.
As Michigan proved last season, Kinnick Stadium has a history of being the place where top 5 teams go to die, especially at night. Expect the place to be rocking when the Hawkeyes welcome another likely top five opponent to its confines. The last time Penn State played a primetime game at Kinnick Stadium, however, this happened.
Let’s hope for more of the same.
