Penn State Ice Hockey’s Student Section Sells Out in Record Time

Maybe the most impressive feature of this new record, is that tickets went on sale at 7 a.m. Within two minutes and 12 seconds, the student section had sold-out. That’s a lot of college-aged students waking up awful early in the morning, and a testament to the atmosphere of Pegula Arena and the growing support for the men’s ice hockey team on campus. This is the fifth straight season in which the student section has been sold-out.

Penn State will play an international game (kind of like preseason for college hockey) on October 1, and then has a six-game home stand to start the season beginning on October 19.
