Suriano went 15-3 in his true freshman season but was unable to compete in the Big Ten or NCAA Tournament due to injury.
Initial reports stated that Suriano would be required to sit out the 2017-18 season if he were to transfer within the conference. However, Suriano, a New Jersey native, has reportedly been granted a waiver from the Big Ten Conference in order to be immediately eligible.
