In what’s becoming tradition, Pitt’s Athletic Department announced Sunday night that only Pat Narduzzi will be speaking to the media in the lead up to the Penn State game, with the players being off limits for the second consecutive year.
At Penn St on Sat, no Pitt players available to media

Per Pitt:"Coach Pat Narduzzi will be the lone spokesperson for the program this week"
All Pitt jokes aside, I’m really not sure what the point of this is. Do the players gain some sort of competitive advantage because for 30 minutes on Tuesday (or whenever Pitt has its availability), they don’t have to give rehearsed answers to the media? Barring players from speaking just seems unnecessary, and comes off as a desperate form of gamesmanship. But hey, more power to you, Pat.
