Committany Nation: Parsons Sets Ohio State Official Visit

The five-star PA defensive end will be back in Columbus.

Micah Parsons Visiting Columbus

Five-star thoroughbred Micah Parsons will be making the first of his official visits, as he’ll be in Columbus this weekend for Ohio State’s showdown with Oklahoma, according to Joe Cleezy of FightOnState.com. Parsons was originally going to visit the Buckeyes for the Penn State game, but opted in favor of an early September visit instead.

In my opinion, this recruitment remains the same — Ohio State or Penn State. He’ll visit Nebraska and maybe another place too, but Parsons decision will be the Buckeyes or the Nittany Lions. He has yet to confirm an official visit to Happy Valley, but if he does take one, I would expect it to be after his high school season ends.

Dotson Headed to UCLA

Pennsylvania four-star wide receiver Jahan Dotson made the call for Tom Bradley and UCLA.

Dotson was expected to end up at Ohio State or Penn State, but it appears that he waited too long to make a decision, with both programs now having few spots left in their respective classes. The Buckeyes are obviously picking and choosing what Top 100 kid they want at will, while Penn State waits out the decisions of the aforementioned Parsons, Jayson Oweh, Tyreke Smith, and Rasheed Walker.

Commits Take in Victory Over Akron

Tyler Donahue of Land of 10 has some great quotes from the commits that were in Happy Valley on Saturday for Penn State’s bludgeoning of Akron. Justin Shorter, PJ Mustipher, Zack Kuntz, Pat Freiemuth, Charlie Katshir, and Jesse Luketa were all on hand, while 2019 State College High cornerback Keaton Ellis also made the long, treacherous trip.
