It’s a big week friends. The two best teams in the nation face off at Rec Hall this Saturday, at 8pm, on BTN, as the Ohio State Buckeyes visit our Nittany Lions. Penn State appears to be going into the fight with one boot off - Jason Nolf sustained a knee injury at Rutgers on Sunday, and likely will be out of the lineup.
Daggone that hurts to write. Let’s get to the individual weight class standings, thru January 28th.

Lizak didn’t wrestle Northwestern’s Seabass Rivera. Spencer Lee built a tidy 14-0 first period lead over Drew Mattin before he capped the tech with a 2nd period escape in 5 seconds. Not a lot of changes this weekend.

Man.
Jason Nolf used his ridiculous core muscles to sit up and thru what was effectively a jiu-jitsu heel lock - and messed up his knee. That’s what we know for sure. Everything else is speculation, regardless of Coach Cael as the source, because Coach Cael never tells you anything about injuries, even if it sounds like he’s telling you about injuries.
So while we’re speculating, how crazy would Rec Hall get this Saturday night, if Nolf strides out to the center of the mat? Willis Reed.
Mikey Kemerer is also battling a knee injury, and had to sit vs Michigan’s Pantaleo. Suddenly 157 has a bunch of questions.

Here’s something interesting: I don’t believe Cenzo’s given up a single takedown this year. Unless it was against Bucknell in early November.
