Penn State might not have had many alumni playing this weekend, but a certain kicker left a positive impression.

This week’s performers:

  • Austin Johnson had two tackles for the Titans. AJ has 24 tackles and a sack on the year. The Titans will play the Patriots on Saturday night.

  • Sam Ficken made both of his field goals and his only extra point for the Rams.

Here’s a reminder about where Sam has come from:

Sorry for bringing that up, but it enabled this triumphant moment...

as well as the game-winning extra point in the Pinstripe Bowl.

Sam ends his short 2017-18 season with two made field goals and four made extra points, including six straight made kicks (after missing his first two kicks of the season against the Titans.). Let’s hope he finds a permanent place on a roster next year.
