Success With Hyperlinking Needs A Bye Week

After an emotionally draining weekend, let’s take a weekend off to relax and refocus.

Let’s start with the obvious and get it out of the way. That play call on 4th-and-5 may not have been the best decision at that stage in the game. James Franklin has admitted as much. The play call has been analyzed over and over again since Miles Sanders was stuffed, and the opinions are as varied as they can be.

Despite the emotionally draining weekend, hope is not completely lost. Penn State still has a shot at making the College Football Playoffs, even if the chance looks slim and the path looks bleak.

The loss, though still agonizing, could provide a spark to help guide the Nittany Lions for the remainder of the season.

That path will need its leader, and who better than one of the best quarterbacks to wear the blue and white. Trace McSorley could use one of the best college football quarterbacks period as an example on how to lead his team to glory.

No matter how the remainder of the 2018 season plays out, Penn State fans far and wide will hope this game and this season truly become a turning point for the program to echo the words of Franklin following Saturday’s contest.
