As playoffs loom for high school football teams across the country, future Nittany Lions are preparing to try and end their senior campaigns with a bang

Led by future Nittany Lion running back Devyn Ford, the North Stafford (VA) Wolverines routed Riverbend High School 42-6. In the game Ford had 11 carries for 90 yards and two touchdowns. Ford also had a 27-yard touchdown reception and a pick-6 for the Wolverines.

Defensive back Tyler Rudolph and St. Thomas More (CT) improved to 3-2 on the season by shutting out Canada Prep 32-0. Rudolph played a big role in the victory with a pick-six. His highlights from the game can be seen below.

Wide receiver Emery Simmons continued making plays for the now 8-1 South View (NC) Tigers. Simmons had 107 receiving yards and he hauled in a touchdown. He also had 4 tackles on defense, and returned the lone punt he fielded 70 yards.

State College High escaped against Cumberland Valley 16-13 on Friday night. In the contest, Keaton Ellis rushed for 23 yards and also had 23 yards receiving.

In the regular season finale for the Sheldon (OR) Irish, Michael Johnson Jr. was just 5/12 on pass attempts, however, he still threw for 168 yards and a pair of scores. He also rushed for 83 yards and 3 touchdowns. The 7-2 Irish will now gear up for postseason play.

Things did not go as well for Penn State’s other quarterback commit Taquan Roberson. Roberson was just 17/35 for 178 yards and a touchdown as DePaul Catholic was blown out by fellow New Jersey Catholic League powerhouse Bergen Catholic by a score of 42-7.

Following a 49-14 victory over Plymouth, linebacker Lance Dixon and the West Bloomfield Lakers have advanced in the first round of playoff action in the state of Michigan. He also carried half the Plymouth defense into the end zone on this touchdown.

Tight end Brenton Strange caught 7 passes for 70 yards in an overtime loss for the now 5-4 Parkersburg (WV) Big Red. He also racked up 13 tackles on defense. Meanwhile, in Pittsburgh, defensive back Joey Porter Jr. had 3 tackles in North Allegheny’s victory over Pine Richland as the Tigers finished the 2018 regular season a perfect 10-0.

Five-star linebacker Brandon Smith and the Louisa County (VA) Lions improved to 9-0 over the weekend. As you can see below, Smith continues to flash his five-star talent for the Lions.

On the JUCO circuit, the blocking of Anthony Whigan helped the Lackawanna Falcons rack up 249 rushing yards and 487 yards of total offense in a 51-20 victory. Defensively, safety Jaquan Brisker record a pair of tackles, a pass break up, and he recovered a fumble. He also returned a punt 20 yards.
