Though it’s not quite as high as the last two years, this is the third year in a row that Penn State appears in the first college football rankings, coming in at #14.
PSU is fresh off of a win over Iowa, who’s surprisingly #16 in these polls, but was ranked by the AP poll last week.
Wisconsin isn’t ranked, but Ohio State (#10) and Michigan (#5) all appear in the rankings, with the Wolverines being the early favorites to be a potential Big Ten entrant into the playoffs.
Of course, early CFP rankings don’t mean much - but they’re fun to argue over, nevertheless.
