Penn State Football Is No. 14 In First College Football Playoff Rankings

For the third straight year, the Nittany Lions appear in the playoff rankings.

Though it’s not quite as high as the last two years, this is the third year in a row that Penn State appears in the first college football rankings, coming in at #14.

PSU is fresh off of a win over Iowa, who’s surprisingly #16 in these polls, but was ranked by the AP poll last week.

Wisconsin isn’t ranked, but Ohio State (#10) and Michigan (#5) all appear in the rankings, with the Wolverines being the early favorites to be a potential Big Ten entrant into the playoffs.

Of course, early CFP rankings don’t mean much - but they’re fun to argue over, nevertheless.
