Penn State Jumps To No. 8 In AP Poll

Chipping away...

NCAA Football: Appalachian State at Penn State Matthew O’Haren-USA TODAY Sports

A week after falling out of the top 10, the Nittany Lions are once again back in finding themselves ranked No. 8 in the country.

Yesterday was obviously a good day for the Nittany Lions, with previously undefeated LSU and Oklahoma falling. Meanwhile, Joe Moorhead and Mississippi State helped out Penn State too, upending then-ranked No. 8 Auburn 23-9.

Big Ten wise, Michigan and Wisconsin round out the top 25, coming in at No. 12 and No. 15, respectively. Unfortunately though, Michigan State will now be unranked when it comes to Beaver Stadium next weekend as the Spartans were upset at home by Northwestern.
