A big game netted big praise for Robert Windsor this week.
The junior defensive tackle was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week for his standout performance against his home-state Wisconsin Badgers.
Windsor, out of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, recorded two sacks and held Wisconsin to its lowest points (10) and passing yards (60) total since 2014 in Penn State’s 22-10 victory.
He also finished with 6 tackles, second-best on the team for the contest.
Windsor was part of a Penn State defensive line that racked up 5 sacks. The Badgers had allowed just 13 all season prior to Saturday.
He joins Yetur Gross-Matos as Nittany Lion players to receive the honor.
