It wasn’t always easy or pretty, but Penn State got the job done on Saturday with a 22-10 win over Wisconsin. There was plenty to like as the Nittany Lions battled through frigid conditions en route to the win, but also some moments of tension as the game wound down.

Miles Sanders, along with the rest of Penn State’s running game, had an especially strong Saturday, drawing favorable comparisons to the running back he backed up for two seasons.

Penn State’s season looked gloomy after losses to Ohio State and Michigan State, and some were ready to throw in the towel after the loss to Michigan. But with two regular season games remaining, the Nittany Lions may still be on their way to a premier bowl game.

While fans battled through brutal weather on Saturday, Guy Gadowsky’s offense was hot over the weekend. The Nittany Lions scored 18 goals in two games against Robert Morris, including a record-setting 11-goal performance on Saturday.

“Shutdown” center Nikita Pavlychev led the charge for the Nittany Lions, producing four goals and seven points in the two games, earning him first star of the week honors.
