Wide receiver Emery Simmons continues to do it all for the South View (NC) Tigers. In a nail biting 33-32 victory, Simmons two carries for 33 yards and five receptions for 76 yards. He also had four tackles, an interception, four pass breakups, and he threw a touchdown pass.

In Virginia, running back Devyn Ford and the North Stafford Wolverines advanced to the state semi-finals with a 46-21 victory. Ford finished the game with 170 yards rushing, 51 yards receiving, and he scored four total touchdowns.

Unfortunately for future Nittany Lion defensive back Keaton Ellis and the State College High Little Lions, their season came to an end at the hands of the Pine-Richland Rams over the weekend. Ellis, however, ended his high school career with a bang. He finished the game with five receptions for 211 yards and a touchdown. Ellis also had an interception in the Little Lions 56-33 loss.

Quarterback Michael Johnson Jr. and the Sheldon Irish remained alive in the Oregon state playoffs with a 35-14 victory over Clackamas on Friday night. MJJ was a nice 6 of 9 through the air for 96 yards and a score. He also rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown.

Wide receiver John Dunmore and the Chaminade-Madonna Prep Lions earned a 14-3 victory to advance in the Florida state playoffs. Dunmore scored both Lion touchdowns in the team’s victory over Delray American Heritage.
