Northwestern is still ranked at #21 (dropping two spots), and will play the now-tops in the Big Ten Ohio State (#6) this week in the Big Ten Championship game. After losing to the Buckeyes for the seventh straight time and once again failing to win their division under Jim Harbaugh, Michigan fell to number 7 in the rankings.
Pitt fell back out of the rankings after failing to score a touchdown against Miami, though they will have a shot at Clemson this weekend.
A third straight New Year’s Six bowl is a real possibility for Penn State, which needs a few things to happen in order for a prestige bowl game; namely, the favorites to win this weekend, with OSU winning big and Oklahoma winning small.
