Success With Hyperlinking and The Penn State Problem

Michigan’s Revenge Tour rolled through the Nittany Lions, but may have given them motivation for next season’s matchup.

For a while there, it looked like Penn State might have been able to do it. Despite trailing 14-0 at the half, Saturday’s game felt much closer than the stats showed. In the end though, Michigan’s “Revenge Tour” claimed another victim.

The Wolverines certainly gave the Nittany Lions plenty to mount their own Revenge Tour next season.

In the meantime though, Penn State will look to close out the 2018 campaign strong, starting with Saturday’s noon kick versus Wisconsin. The classic Big Ten weather conditions could make this game tough to watch and could affect fan turnout, especially with nearly every tailgate lot being closed.

Festivities aside, James Franklin and the Nittany Lions have plenty to fix against the Badgers. In a twist of fate from what many expected from the season, Penn State’s defense has perhaps been its strongest quality, while its offense has looked anemic recently. Penn State’s problem doesn’t lie in not having playmakers, it’s in those playmakers wanting to be the one to make plays.

That problem has left Franklin — among many — disappointed with the Nittany Lions’ season, to put it lightly.

Ohio State and Michigan share one of the fiercest rivalries in college football. “The Game” often features the highest stakes and brings out the best of both teams. Despite the bitterness between the two programs, its two quarterbacks shared some good will on Tuesday.

Speaking of the Wolverines signal caller, Shea Patterson is eligible to enter the NFL Draft after this season. Although his strong performance this season would earn him some looks from NFL scouts, rumor has it that Patterson will be donning the maize and blue again next season.

Patterson may be able to lead the Wolverines to their first College Football Playoff berth this season and a possible date with Nick Saban and Alabama. The might of the Crimson Tide this season has left some disenchanted with the college football season as a whole.
