The Tale

Patrick Kelly moved from Arizona, where he was one of the top players in the state, to Virginia, in 2016. He enrolled at Virginia Episcopal School, and joined the Adidas AAU circuit with Team Loaded.

Patrick’s recruiting had been picking up steam lately, having taken a few visits to different schools. He last visited Penn State on Saturday for the Rutgers game, but had been on campus earlier to watch the Nittany Lions take on Michigan in football. He went on a number of other unofficial visits recently, with schools such as Georgetown, NC State, Purdue, Ohio State, and Wake Forest showing interest.

Heraled as a shooter, Patrick would feed one of the staff’s most consistent needs throughout his tenure. At 190, he’d need to fill up some to ready himself for Big Ten play, but the Forward has some time between now and his first day on campus.

With this commitment, the class of 2019 is officially on the board at one. Welcome to Penn State, Patrick!
