Penn State Basketball Receives Votes in AP Poll

What a world

NCAA Basketball: Penn State at Purdue Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

After a whirlwind week that saw PSU hoops upset No. 8 Ohio State at home and then almost pull the stunner again in West Lafayette, falling to No. 6 Purdue 76-73, the Nittany Lions appeared in the “Others Receiving Votes” category of Monday’s new AP Top 25.

Pat Chambers and company received six points in the poll and will have a chance to build on that in the last week of the regular season when they play host to No. 17 Michigan before rounding out the season at Nebraska.

In addition to the AP Poll votes, Penn State was ranked No. 22 in NCAA.com’s latest Power 36 and KenPom has the Nittany Lions at No. 25.

Penn State currently sits sixth in the Big Ten.
