After suffering a right knee injury against Michigan, Mike Watkins has been ruled out for Penn State’s potentially bubble bursting matchup against Nebraska this Sunday.
From Penn State Coaches Show Featuring Patrick Chambers: Sophomore Mike Watkins (right knee injury) is out for Sunday's bubble showdown at Nebraska (5:15 p.m., ET @BigTenNetwork).

Watkins has been a pivotal player for the Nittany Lions this season, averaging 12.1 points per game to go along with 8.9 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game. Without Watkins, expect Penn State to go small more often, with Lamar Stevens logging minutes at the 5 spot like he did against Michigan Wednesday night.
There has been no word on the severity of Watkins’ injury, as it remains to be seen if he’ll be able to give it a go during next week’s Big Ten Tournament. Obviously, without Watkins, it’ll be tough sledding for a Penn State team that will be playing for its NCAA Tournament life.
