YAY POSTSEASON HOOPS: Penn State vs. Temple - NIT First Round Open Thread

What was already a much-anticipated interstate matchup with Temple in the NIT’s first round has become even more anticipated, thanks to Fran Dunphy’s choice words about Penn State’s recruiting practices. Hopefully, a raucous Legion of Blue will have some choice words for Dunphy while the Nittany Lions stick it to the Owls.

Tip-off is at 8:00 PM ET on ESPNU. If you haven’t read the preview yet, please do so, especially so you’re not bursting a blood vessel when noticing how the NIT is implementing experimental rules of four quarters instead of two halves, the three-point line being moved back nearly a foot and a half (from 20’9” to 22’1” in accordance with FIBA standards), the free throw lane being expanded four feet (from 12 to 16 feet, in accordance with NBA standards), and five team fouls putting the other team in the bonus, where it’s an automatic two free throw shots (no more of this “one-in-one” crap), amongst other significant changes.
