Blessed & Honored: Penn State LB Target Earns Offers from USC and West Virginia

Andre White lands an offer from USC, while Penn State makes the top group for multiple prospects.

Andre White

White Lands More Power Five Offers

After a breakout MVP performance at the Bay Area Nike Opening camp, it was expected that PA three-star LB Andre White would see his offer list grow. On Tuesday and Wednesday, exactly that happened, as USC and West Virginia offered White.

These won’t be the last big time offers for White. I fully expect some of the bigger Big Ten, ACC, and SEC schools to take notice and offer White in the coming weeks. But as I said in Monday’s B&H, I don’t think there’s too much to be worried about on Penn State’s end. Perhaps White isn’t the slam dunk many once thought, but the Nittany Lions are still sitting in a very strong position here.

Penn State In Top Group For Multiple Prospects

Penn State is a pretty nifty school in my opinion, and it seems like some recruits agree with me!

  • Four-star ATH/RB Ronald Thompkins (GA)

Mississippi State, Tennessee, and USC round out Thompkins’ top four, giving him a nice variety of final schools. He’s only visited Tennessee thus far, so more visits could be on the horizon for the Georgia running back.

  • Four-star OT Quinn Carroll (MN)

Quinn Carroll has yet to visit Penn State, and being that he’s an Irish kid from Minnesota, is a pretty big lean to end up at Notre Dame. His father did play for Minnesota, so if anyone to keep Carroll from the Irish, it’s PJ Fleck’s #RowTheBoat gang in Minneapolis.

  • Four-star WR Marcus Washington (MO)

St. Louis wideout Marcus Washington has the Nittany Lions in his top 10, but like Thompkins and Carroll, hasn’t been to Happy Valley yet. His recruitment appears to be pretty wide open though, as there are no Crystal Ball predictions on Washington’s 247 profile at this point.
