Highlights
The Tale
Offensive lineman Caedan Wallace first visited Penn State for Junior Day in February of 2017. During this visit he was offered by James Franklin and from that point on the Nittany Lions were the team to beat for Wallace.
Since being offered a little over a year ago, Wallace has visited Penn State six times. The sixth of which being for Saturday’s Blue White Game. With how frequently Wallace visited Happy Valley, there was never much doubt about where he would play his college football.
Outlook
When James Franklin arrive in State College the offensive line situation for the Nittany Lions was an utter mess. Franklin and his staff have done an excellent job of cleaning this mess up on the recruiting trail in recent years, and that continues today with the commitment of Caedan Wallace.
Wallace projects as a guard at the collegiate level, and a darn good one to boot. Wallace recently attended the Nike Regional camp in New Jersey where he was dominant and one of the best linemen in attendance.
Wallace possesses great size and has good athleticism for his size. It is this combination that makes him one of the best interior offensive line prospects in the country. Currently, Wallace checks in as the 74th best player, and 4th best guard, in the 247 Sports Composite Rankings. After a redshirt year, it would not be out of the question for Wallace to push for playing time as a redshirt freshman in the fall of 2021. Especially after the departures of Steven Gonzalez and Connor McGovern.
Welcome to Penn State, Caedan!
