It’s another busy recruiting weekend in Happy Valley. While Penn State hosted longtime offered prospects like Brandon Smith and Antonio Alfano, the Nittany Lions also gave out some offers this weekend, as DB Joey Porter Jr. (Pennsylvania) and DL David Ojabo (New Jersey) walked away with offers.

We mentioned the possibility of Ojabo landing his offer earlier this week, but the offer to Porter Jr. (who, yes, is the son of Steeler great Joey Porter) is a little more surprising. He’s a good looking prospect though, standing 6-foot-2 with the versatility to play cornerback or safety. He also has offers from LSU, Pitt, and West Virginia, but it’s expected that the Nittany Lions will jump to the top of the list.
We’ll have more on this weekend’s visits in the coming days.
