Move over Simba, there is a new Lion King(s) in the Big Apple:

The Lion King may be one of the hottest shows on Broadway but the Penn State men’s basketball team may be the newest lion king(s) of the Big Apple. According to Pat Chambers at Penn State’s caravan stop in New York City, Madison Square Garden wants the the program to return to the world’s most famous arena in the future after playing seven games there this past season that all drew great crowds. Daniel Gallen of Penn Live talks more about it.

Third on the list but #1 in our hearts:

Athlon Sports ranked their top quarterbacks in the country for the upcoming season and Penn State’s Trace McSorley was listed as the third best quarterback in the nation behind Will Grier (West Virginia) and Tua Tagovailoa (Alabama).

Take home a Beaver Stadium mower?!

Did you ever want to own a piece of Beaver Stadium but didn’t know how? Well, here’s your chance, kind of.

Penn State is auctioning off one of their mowers from Beaver Stadium. Currently, only one bid has been placed on the mower of $2,500. It will be auctioned off until May 16th and the winner will also have the opportunity to take the mower around the Beaver Stadium turf one last time.

A rivalry renewed....lol, jk:

If there is anything in this world Penn State and Pittsburgh fans can agree on it would be that the renewed rivalry over the past two seasons was fun. Luckily for both fan bases, if Pittsburgh even qualifies in having one, there are still two more meetings between the schools over the next two seasons. But following the 2019 season, the rivarly will once again be put on hold. SB Nation’s Alex Krishner takes a look into why the rivalry will be put on hold starting in 2020.

Getting the family back together:

Since arriving at Penn State, James Franklin has preached about getting Letterman back to campus and getting the “family” back together. As Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio points out, Franklin is ready to take that one step further as he wants to create a locker room former Nittany Lions to come back to in Happy Valley.
