What could possibly be more satisfying than beating the brakes off of Pitt on Sept. 8?

Doing it in prime time while the whole world watches, of course!

ESPN/ABC announced today the 98th meeting between the two schools will be nationally televised at 8 p.m. on ABC.

Other games that week include USC at Stanford, Clemson at Texas A&M and UCLA at Oklahoma.

The Panthers pulled the upset with a 42-39 victory in 2016 before Penn State claimed a resounding 33-14 win a year ago in Beaver Stadium.

Penn State leads the all-time series 51-43-4.

The two teams will play again in Beaver Stadium in 2019 before Penn State opts for greener pastures and non-conference games against Virginia Tech, West Virginia and Auburn.

The Nittany Lions open the 2018 season against visiting Appalachian State on Sept. 1. Kickoff time and television coverage for the opener have yet to be announced.
