Highlights

The Tale

Marquis Wilson bursted onto Penn State’s radar after a strong camp performance last summer, when he earned an offer from the Nittany Lions. Penn State quickly took the lead in his recruitment, and despite picking up other big offers, the Nittany Lions were always at the front. Wilson took just one official visit, making his way to Happy Valley for the Blue-White game, and ended up making the call for Penn State just one month later.

Outlook

I’m probably the biggest Wilson fan in the country — I think he’s a legitimate top 100 player — so this is a terrific get for the Nittany Lions. While he’s listed as an athlete on 247, Wilson will be playing cornerback at the next level, and should be a good one. He has above-average height/length, and quite honestly, looks like a natural playing cornerback. Penn State has done an incredible job at cornerback under Terry Smith, and Wilson will only continue that trend in Happy Valley.

Welcome to Penn State, Marquis!
