Perhaps the best part of offseason college football is watching longtime walk-on players receive scholarships.
We saw it a couple years ago when long snapper Ty Yazujian received a scholly for his redshirt senior year.
After graduating, Yazujian was replaced as the long snapper by Kyle Vasey.
Vasey, a walk-on, held down the position for all 13 games last season. He was also honored as an Academic All-Big Ten honoree.
After practice on Tuesday, the Lackawanna, Pa. native found out he would be put on full scholarship for his redshirt senior year.
That moment when 4 years of hard work pays off...! ⚪️
