In the fall of 1996, true freshman John Blick suited up as a start offensive tackle for the Penn State Nittany Lions. With this, Blick became the first true freshman to ever start on the offensive line at Penn State.
After starting as a true freshman, Blick would become a four-year starter for the Nittany Lions. During Blick’s time as a player in Happy Valley, the Nittany Lions went 38-11 overall and 3-1 in bowl games.
Following his Penn State career, Blick would spend a year on the Kansas City Chiefs’ practice squad
