Recently enrolled Penn State freshman Nana Asiedu broke some sad news on Wednesday night when he announced that a heart condition is forcing him to retire from football before his college career begin.

Asiedu stated in a twitter post that he has hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, an incurable condition that involves thickening of the walls of heart’s ventricles.
He added that he will remain on full football scholarship and continue to be around the team.
Asiedu was a 4-star recruit in the class of 2018, ranked No. 116 in the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He committed to the Nittany Lions over Clemson, Florida State, Auburn and Michigan among others.
