Do you smell that? That’s the smell of football around the corner as the Big Ten kicks off the 2018 season with its annual media days next Monday (July 23) and Tuesday (July 24). The Penn State contingent this year will be a trio of redshirt seniors — Trace McSorley, Nick Scott, and Amani Oruwariye — who of course will be joined by James Franklin.

Not since 2012 (you probably remember) has the Big Ten media days really meant all that much for Penn State, but this will be the first time since April that James Franklin will be available to the media, and there might be a thing or two about a maybe-not-former linebacker that he’ll need to address.
