We are officially under two months away from Penn State football, only 61 more days to go!
With no member of the current roster wearing number No. 61, we will honor former Nittany Lion Stefen Wisniewski.
Wisniewski played for the Nittany Lions in the late 2000s from 2007 to 2011 and was a first-team All-American in 2010. He was also a two-time, first-team All-Big Ten selection during his time with the program.
The Pittsburgh native went on to be drafted in the second round by Oakland Raiders in the 2011 NFL Draft. He spent four seasons in Oakland before moving onto Jacksonville for one season. Over the last two seasons, Wisniewski played for the Philadelphia Eagles and won his first Super Bowl this past Feburary.
With his Super Bowl championship, Wisniewski is only one of two active Penn State graduates to win a Super Bowl, joining former Penn State lax star Chris Hogan.
We’ll see you back here tomorrow as the countdown reaches 60 days!
