Here we go again — another preseason honor for Penn State quarterback Trace McSorley. The latest accolade is being included on the watch list for the Manning Award, given annually to college football’s top quarterback. Baker Mayfield was the 2017 Manning Award recipient, before going on to win the Heisman Trophy.

McSorley has already been included on four other awards watch lists, which include the Maxwell, Davey O’Brien, Wuerffel and Walter Camp. Additionally, he has been listed as the nation’s top signal caller heading into 2018 by Sporting News, and was named a second-team All-American by CBS Sports on Wednesday among several other accolades by national media outlets.

McSorley enters his senior season as a three-year starter and two-time captain.
