In a move that wasn’t totally unexpected, redshirt senior defensive end Torrence Brown announced on Twitter earlier today that his football career in Happy Valley is over.

Brown is coming off a knee injury that caused him to miss the last 10 games of the 2017 season. While there was some hope he’d make his way back to the field this season, that won’t be the case.
Brown finishes his Penn State career having seen action in 21 games, totaling 52 tackles, 12.5 TFLs, and 2 sacks during that time. He was a reserve in 2015, but started four games in 2016, and started the first three games of 2017 before succumbing to injury. He will now transition to an off-the-field role with program, and as he says, will be supporting his teammates from the sideline this season.
