Penn State’s loss to Ohio State cost it a pair a pair of spots in latest AP Poll. The Nittany Lions dropped two spots from No. 9 to No. 11.
Penn State is one of five Big Ten teams in this week’s top 25 joining Ohio State (3), Michigan (15), Wisconsin (16), and Michigan State (20). The Nittany Lions are set to take on the Michigan State Spartans on Oct. 13 following their bye week.
It’s also worth noting that the Nittany Lions week one foe, Appalachian State earned themselves two votes in this week’s poll. The Mountaineers have been dominant since coming to Happy Valley.
In this week’s coaches poll, the Nittany Lions had the same exact movement, falling from 9 to 11. Penn State has now been in the poll 30 consecutive weeks.
