The Big Ten recently announced times and networks for the bulk of the season, and the Penn State Nittany Lions were treated very well by the conference. Unlike last season, the games relegated to BTN Plus are at a minimum, and several matchups are slated for the ESPN family of networks.
The headliner, however, comes on January 13th, when the Michigan State Spartans take on the Nittany Lions at either 1:30 or 4:30 PM on CBS. This will be the first time under Pat Chambers that Penn State appears on the network during the regular season.
As of today, Penn State has five games slated for the ESPN family of networks as well as the CBS tilt, with the game at Alabama, and both the Cancun Challenge games, still to be slotted to a network. This number may change depending on how well (or how poorly) the Lions perform during the season.
