Offensive lineman Connor McGovern will forgo his senior season at Penn State and will enter the NFL Draft. McGovern announced the news following Penn State’s 27-24 loss to Kentucky in the VRBO Citrus Bowl.

McGovern has been a big part of Penn State’s offensive line since he stepped on campus in January of 2016. The Larksville, PA, native will finish his career as a three-year starter for the Nittany Lions.

As a true freshman in 2016, McGovern started at right guard for a Nittany Lions squad that finished 11-3 and captured a Big Ten Championship. After starting at center in 2017, he moved back to right guard this past season. McGovern was a member of the Big Ten’s all-freshman team in 2016, and was third team all-conference this season. He has the ability to play center or guard at the next level, and some mock drafts over the summer projected McGovern as a first round pick.

We wish Connor all the best as he prepares for the next step of his journey.
