After losing three bouts in an otherwise solid thumping of Purdue on Friday, the Lions travel to Bloomington to the brand-new Wilkinson Hall (dedicated earlier this month) on the campus of Indiana University.
The Hoosiers do have a solid win under their belt this season, having defeated the ranked UNC Tarheels in late December as part of the South Beach Duals - but they’ve only won once since, with their latest defeat coming against the rival Boilermakers in West Lafayette last weekend.
With PSU 133 pounder Roman Bravo-Young tweaking his knee on a flip en route to a loss on Friday evening, the Lions will probably find themselves in a hole early - but should be able to rebound quickly in their last tune up before the toughest test of the dual season next week.

Schnupp is getting better week by week, and I’m still thinking he’ll break out one of these weeks and win his first Big Ten dual match. Will this be the week? His competition gets tougher from here out, so this might be his best shot. I’ll throw the Gulibon curse on him, and pick whomever the Hoosiers send out.
Prediction: Oliver/Cronin by decision
Score: PSU 0, Indiana 3
RBY was in so much pain on Friday that he wasn’t first back to the center of the match—an extreme rarity for PSU wrestlers, even those who don’t win consistently. I’m not sure they brought anyone who could fill in on this trip except for Brody Teske - and I am sure they wouldn’t burn Teske’s redshirt just for this dual.
Prediction: Pepple by injury default
Score: PSU 0, Indiana 9
Lee picked up his third straight major decision over Nate Limmex on Friday, and he looked much more in his zone in the domination on the mat. He’ll continue that this week against either a freshman wrestler from his hometown, or the formerly ranked Weaver, whom Jered Cortez beat last year before Lee’s redshirt was pulled. I’m not sure it matters too much.
Prediction: Lee by major decision.

Berge’s getting a weekend off and this is the weight (along with heavy) that we won’t miss our starter that much if the backup fills in. Verkleeren easily won on Friday, and his competition on Sunday is much the same. I think he gains confidence and goes out an dominates from the first whistle.
Prediction: Verk by major decision

On Friday, Purdue didn’t even send out their normal backup to ranked Parriott at this weight to face Nolf - they sent out a redshirt freshman who wasn’t on the lineup pre-match, and made his dual meet debut. Welp. Nolf, who may or may not have seen Tyler Berger’s ridiculous call-out earlier in the day, made them pay for the decision - in under a minute, no less. I’m not sure this one will be so quick, but if the last time these two met is any indicator, it won’t last the entire seven minutes.
Prediction: Nolf by pin
Score: PSU 14, Indiana 9
Cenzo came back in a big way on Friday with a pin, and though he likely won’t pick up that much bonus in this dual (Martin is an NCAA qualifier, after all), he will be the dominant one on the mat for the get go. I expect Joseph will be looking for the tech fall near the end of the third period, but will fall just short and come away with only one bonus.
Prediction: Joseph by major decision
Score: PSU 18, Indiana 9
Hall is due for some bonus points here. I almost picked him to pin, but I think he’ll find himself just short - on Friday he was very close to some good back points, but his ranked opponent fought them off. Covaciu won’t be that lucky.
Prediction: Hall by tech fall
Score: PSU 23, Indiana 9
With Manville at a tourney this weekend, this’ll likely be Brisono again with Shak resting for next week’s big dual against Michigan. Franny was close to keeping it out of bonus, and he should be able to do the same this week - but will still come up just short.
Prediction: Conley by decision
Score: PSU 24, Indiana 12
It’s been far too long since we’ve got a Bo pin. I’m going to keep calling for it until it happens (and, let’s face it, probably long after as well).
Prediction: Nickal by pin
Score: PSU 29, Indiana 12
Cassar actually was the heavier guy on Friday, and it worked just as well for him. He won’t be that lucky this week, but the win should be - this one won’t be a major by one or two points, with Cassar putting his freight train double on display.
Prediction: Cassar by major decision
