Penn State is hoping to flip the Florida State commit.

PENN STATE VISIT ON TAP FOR CROSS

Four-star Maryland safety (and Florida State commit) Nick Cross confirmed Sunday night that he’ll be taking an official visit to Happy Valley this coming weekend.

This will be an interesting one. If you remember, Cross was a longtime Florida State lean, but just before he was set to announce, Penn State made a late push for him. While Cross did eventually make the call in favor of the Seminoles, the Nittany Lions have stuck around, and will now have one last shot to sway him.

One thing working in Penn State’s favor? Penn State was actually Cross’ dad’s first choice back in September. We’ll see if he still feels that way come this weekend.

WRAPPING UP OFFICIAL VISIT WEEKEND

Honestly, not much to make note of right now. Florida wideout TJ Jones was the only prospect to tweet pictures from the weekend.

Jaquaze Sorrells tweeted that he was in State College, while BWI confirmed that Ohio State commit Doug Nester did make it to Happy Valley. We’ll see what happens over the coming days.

NATIONAL CHRISTIAN DUO TEASES COMMITMENT

2020 four-star OT Aaryn Park tweeted out Saturday night that his commitment video is coming soon.

All four of the 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions are for Penn State, which is definitely a good sign. What makes this even more interesting is that Parks’ teammate, four-star cornerback Joshuah Moten, tweeted out something similar the other night, saying that a decision was coming soon, but he ended up deleting the tweet. Like Parks, Moten’s 247 Crystal Ball reads Penn State.

Good news for the Nittany Lions coming soon? We’ll see.
