Saquon Barkley picked up the first of his like many pieces of hardware while in the NFL on Thursday.

Barkley announced on his twitter page that he had been named the fan voted Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year for 2018.
He beat out Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield for the honor, something he’ll be hoping to do again on Saturday when the league names its selection for Rookie of the Year.
Barkley was as advertised as a rookie. The New York Giants number two overall selection in the 2018 draft rushed for 1,307 yards and 11 touchdowns to go along with a 91 catches for 721 yards and four scores.
For his efforts, Barkley was named to the 2019 Pro Bowl and voted to the PFWA All-Rookie team.
