Penn State has opened as a 7.5 point favorite against Michigan ahead of its week eight clash against the Wolverines in Beaver Stadium.
Both teams are coming off wins heading into the showdown on Saturday night. Penn State came away with a 17-12 victory in a defensive battle at Iowa. Meanwhile, Michigan had a road win as they beat Illinois 42-25. Michigan had jumped out to a 28-0 lead before Illinois scored 25 unanswered to make things interesting. The Wolverines would then pull away in the fourth quarter to preserve the victory.
Michigan enters the game at 5-1, with wins against Middle Tennessee, Army, Rutgers, Iowa and Illinois. They have won their last three games after stumbling to Wisconsin 35-14.
The atmosphere will be lively, to say the least, in Happy Valley for Penn State’s battle with Michigan. College Gameday will be in town to cover the White Out conditions as the Nittany Lions attempt to remain unbeaten. The game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 19, and will be aired on ABC as it’s national prime time game of the week.
