Penn State Football Commits In Action: Week 8

Ji’Ayir Brown has a multi interception game and mid-season highlight SZN continues

Due to Ji’Ayir Brown’s big game, we will start on the JUCO circuit this week. Brown and the Lackawanna Community College Falcons remained undefeated with a 31-17 victory over Monroe College. In the game Brown had 5 tackles, a sack, a tackle for a loss, a forced fumble, and two interceptions. His teammate, future Nittany Lion wide receiver Norval Black, was held to just 5 yards on his lone reception.

Quarterback Micah Bowens had an early night in a 68-0 victory for the Bishop Gorman Gaels. Bowens was 2/4 throwing the ball for 61 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed for 90 yards and a pair of scores.

Connecticut wide receiver Jaden Dottin had 3 receptions for 67 yards and 2 touchdowns in a 42-14 victory for the Suffield Academy Tigers. He also recorded a tackle for the Tiger defense.

In New Jersey, defensive lineman Amin Vanover and the St. Joseph Regional Green Knights defeated Bergen Catholic 28-10. Vanover recorded a pair of tackle and an interception for the Green Knight defense. Sticking with the defensive line, defensive tackle Cole Brevard had 5 tackles for the Carmel (IN) Greyhounds in a 24-0 victory.

Offensive lineman Nick Dawkins continued to bounce back from an early season injury. He helped lead the Parkland Trojans to a 49-0 victory over Stroudsburg. You can check out Dawkins highlights from the game below.

Offensive tackles Ibrahim Traore and Devin Willock have each released their mid-season highlights. Safety Elijah Gaines has released his mid-season highlights as well.

2021 tight end commit Nick Elksnis caught 3 passes for 94 yards and 2 touchdowns for the Episcopal School of Jacksonville in a 41-6 victory. On defense, he had 3 tackles and a sack.
