It seems like just yesterday we were agonizing over summer workout videos. Picking apart any little detail available on social media to get some idea of what the 2019 season would look like. Prognosticating what Penn State’s record would be this season.
Suddenly, in the blink of an eye, we’re halfway through the season. A little surreal at times, no?
Yet here we are! The Lions have played six games, and have come away with six victories. A bye week near the end of September means that this slightly-longer-than-average season is officially halfway complete.
How’s everyone feeling thus far?
I’m pretty ecstatic to be honest - I knew this defense would be good, but I didn’t think it would be THIS good. And I hoped that the offense would put it together, but I didn’t think they’d be “run out the clock to preserve a win against Iowa at Kinnick at night” good.
Sure, some things could be better. The defensive backs could stop giving up chunk plays through the air. The quarterback could settle down a little earlier, and connect on deep passes better.
But y’know what? I’m having fun. This team, this season, are fun.
And time flies when you’re having fun.
