Black Shoe Degenerates: Road Warriors

Someone asked for a bone, so you got a bone!

NCAA Football: Rutgers at Minnesota Jesse Johnson-USA TODAY Sports

Last week, a commenter asked for at least one Rutgers game for essentially free money. Why don’t we start by saying yes, you can have free money! I’m rowing the boat to an 8-0 vs 8-0 matchup in November, so let’s all watch Minnesota run (or pass, they can do both now) all over Rutgers this week and see our bankroll, well, roll.

  1. C.McKean - 6,831.23
  2. PSUSteelerFan - 4,935.80
  3. Matt Murdock - 4,834.37
  4. moyepleasehaveanother - 4,633.70
  5. JayMPSU - 3,352.80

We’re reaching that point in the season where missing a week effectively drops you a couple of spots, as moyepleasehaveanother went from 1st to 4th after having missed a week. And, if C.McKean goes at the pace he’s going, he’s going to break MrNoPants total from end of season last year in about a week or two.*

Full standings.

Minnesota -28.5 @ Rutgers - As mentioned above, I’m still on the boat. Rutgers has scored seven points in four Big Ten games, and I don’t expect this to be the game where they light up the scoreboard. $200

Houston -22 @ UConn - Another putrid team hosts someone with a pulse. Between Rutgers and UConn, it’s going to be a race to the bottom, and Houston showed it can play with the best teams last week against Cincinnati. $100

Missouri -21 @ Vanderbilt - The Tigers have quitely bounced back from that loss to Wyoming, winning their next five games, however, all at home. It’s a good thing that their first of three road games comes against a Vanderbilt team that just finished getting blown out by [checks notes] everyone! Everyone Vanderbilt has played save for one team has blown them out! $100
