We may be on Tuesday of the bye week, but the accolades from the football team’s victory over Michigan State keep rolling in. This time, it’s for Pat Freiermuth who once again, was the winner of the John Mackey Award for being the nation’s best tight end last weekend.

It comes as no surprise to see Pat earn this award again, as he led the way for the Nittany Lions’ offensive attack in East Lansing, catching five balls for 60 yards and three touchdowns en route to a comfortable 28-7 win over Sparty. Any time you record a hat trick for touchdowns as a skill player, you are in the running to receive such an honor.

Congrats once again, Pat!
