Redshirt Report: Set In Stone?

Will anyone have their redshirt burned for the remainder of 2019?

Things are just about set for the freshmen (and JUCOs). Let’s see where Penn State is at heading into the final four games of the regular season.

So going to keep this one short and simple, because this is pretty much the same from last week. Marquis Wilson officially had his redshirt burned, while nothing else of major note happened. Brenton Strange did get some time, but that’s only game two for him, so it’s not like his redshirt is going to be burned or anything.

The only real takeaway is that Joey Porter Jr. — in light of the injuries to Trent Gordon and John Reid — once again didn’t play. Granted, it doesn’t appear that Gordon nor Reid will be out long, but it’s pretty clear the plan is for Porter Jr. to redshirt come hell or high water.
